Fondazione Cariplo has been doing philanthropic work for over twenty years, with a passion for art, culture, scientific research, social affairs and the environment. Today it is focused on supporting young people, community welfare and the well-being of people, implementing projects with non-profit organizations. From 1991 to date, the Foundation supported more than 30,000 charitable initiatives, investing in the philanthropic activity over two and a half billion euro, resources generated by the wise investments of an asset that in recent years has appreciated and held up in the face of the crisis, and which is now worth over Euro 8 billion. In recent years Cariplo managed to innovate the way of doing philanthropic work, as in the case of social housing or cultural districts. Not just a benefactor, then, but an engine of ideas.
